I had seen people reuse wine bottles to make candle holders and drinking glasses but I thought "what about planters ?" I love small collections of succulents so I thought why not try it? They turned out better than I thought so I put them up on my etsy site. They range in price from $20 for the small to $27 for the large. I think I will also try to find larger vessels to try as well. I was a little worried about the stress in the glass due to how I remove the tops but they seem to be fine and with a little care I don't think it would be an issue.
