Barefoot Contessa

Main St. in Vancouver is one of my favourite areas of the city. There are so many one of a kind shops filled with handmade and local product and lots of restaurants to have a nibble at too. Barefoot Contessa is a lovely shop that I have visited every time I go to Main St. filled with beautiful dresses, accessories and jewellery! They have kindly taken some of my Spring/Summer 2012 line which compliments the look and feel of the store nicely.

Summer Scarves

Something that some people may not know about me is that I have an addiction. No not drugs or alcohol.... it's a scarf addiction! I have so many and yet I still can't resist when I see a really beautiful one. There is a lovely duo by the name Fair Jake (how could I not love the name) and they make such pretty handmade textile accessories. My Jake even has one of their bow ties! New this spring they have added really beautiful hand dyed silk scarves and (my favourite) really soft organic cotton ones dyed in the most pleasing marbled effect. Kim and Alex came by my booth at Got Craft? this past Sunday (they were also vendors) and I noticed how co-ordinated their scarves were with my new spring jewellery line! I guess great minds think alike! So of course there were purchases made by both parties (definitely a hazard of participating in great craft shows). I will definitely be wearing this scarf quite a bit!

Harmony Arts Festival

Each year the city of West Van puts on the Harmony Arts Festival, an arts and culture festival with the art market being a key component in the festivities. This year I am so excited because I am going to be one of the artists participating in the market! I will be there with my glass art side Amanda Parker Design and I am so excited to show some of the new work I have been making!
