Got Craft? Venue Change!!!!

Due to a fire at the Maritime Labour Centre Got Craft? has had to change venues! Robert and Andrea with the help of the community found an alternative really fast so fortunately the event will still take place! Yay! The new venue is Templeton Secondary School which is just minutes away from the Maritime Labour Centre. I hope you can all make it! I have also attached a handy map to the new venue.

Wedding Season

Today is a beautiful Spring day here in New West and it got me thinking about the approaching season and all the things that brings with it. Many people like to get married in the Spring and Summer and I was included in a lovely treasury that reflects just that. Enjoy browsing through all the lovely items!

North Shore Art Crawl

I wanted to post a little reminder about the North Shore Art Crawl happening this coming weekend April 20th and 21st! I am a collective member at Favourite and this year the shop will be showcasing some members work as part of the crawl! My Jewellery will be at Favourite for this event but I will also be bringing some of my artwork to be displayed. You can view all of the participating artists profiles on the crawl's website.  Other participating artists from the collective are Branwen Kemp, Dahlia Drive, Daub + Design, and Vanessa Cunnigham! It will be a great tour filled with so many talented artists along the way so don't miss out!

OOAK Wrap Up and What is Next this Spring!

Marian + Hazel participated in the One of a Kind Show on March 27th to the 31st in the brand new Etsy section! Overall I think the show was a great success and I made some great connections and new friends as a result. The space for exhibiting was quite tight but I was fortunate to be placed with two really great ladies who made the 5 long days so enjoyable! Mirit (bubyNoa) makes fantastic one of a kind dolls from upcycled materials that were just stunning!

You can check out her work in her Etsy shop.

Christine (SugarSoul) was also a lot of fun and she creates stylish handmade hats that are also reversible! You can check out her blog and Etsy shop for more info.

Exhibiting so far from home taught me so much (I hope I can learn from it all!) and it also was so interesting to receive feedback on my work from a completely different crowd. I have so many ideas to try out as a result!

The show was really well attended especially on Good Friday which was just bonkers!

It was also so great to see the work in person and meet the makers of so many Etsy shops that I was already familiar with! Putting a face to the work is always so great. The spring shows continue with the North Shore Art Crawl which happens April 20th and 21st. My work will be at Favourite in the Lonsdale Quay. This will be a different event for me as I will mostly be showcasing my artwork which will be great. The weekend after that (April 27th and 28th) is Got Craft? which is always a great show and is being held in a new venue! You can check out the amazing lookbook for the show on issuu.
